Has anyone recently eaten at Bayern Stube in Gibson City, Illinois? I'm eyeing it as a possible Thursday lunch stop later this year (although if I get there too early I'll continue on to South Street Smokehouse in Lafayette, Indiana). Thanks! Brad

Maybe they're listed on the menu pages that don't come up? I was thinking more along the lines of a schnitzel or sausage dish, anyway. Hessen Haus in Des Moines has schweinshaxe. Maybe I'll check it out when I'm there next month.

hallelujah! Bavarian Nachos on the Hessen Haus menu....I've got to go there. Not your traditional German fare, but something new to try! That and Sauerkraut balls. ingriguing...

I ate there once but that was years ago, a good friend of mine grew up in Gibson City and recommended it. I remember liking it but I wasn't "in to" food then. They also have a Rock-n-Roll McDonald's similar to the one in Chicago in Gibson.

SC, I went to the cached versions of the pages that didn't come up. It might be a good restaurant but the menu lacks Bavarian standard dishes.
