I have completed several segments of the "Bourbon Trail" but never was aware of the Doughnut road !! we will look into this shortly. For years we followed the KOLACHE Highway that streches from Central Texas thru Oklahome-Kansas-Nebraska-Iowa- South Dakota- and Minnesota, with a detour east to Chicago ! It was an adventure in Czech Food we have really enjoyed over the years.

What's unusual about this list is that I've actually been to one of these places. My wife and I used to make it to Lexington every other year for the Gator-UK football game. I made it a special point to stop by Spaldings very early on Saturday morning while my wife slept in at the hotel. I took about $20 worth back to the room. They were delicious. I'm not sure where I heard about Spaldings but I'm glad I did.

Hope you didn't throw your back out! That joint's cheap. And delicious.
