Every definition of pizza I could find defines pizza as a flat round dough topped with tomato sauce.......

Just like Slick Willie asking "what is the definition of 'is'?", what is the definition of 'flat'?

I like pizza, be it New York, Chicago, Neopolitan, Sicilian, matzoh (less than one month and counting), pita, bagel or whatever the case may be.

And since today is pi day (3.14)  I'm gonna have pizza pie and pecan pie.

......and some of the "thin crust" is more like a cracker with some sauce and cheese on it. I like it all, and the differing styles make it fun when you are passing through a new town. "you say tomaaato, I say tohmato"

The guy making a bad pie doesn't stay in biz long.  Here in Mass we are lucky to have LOTS of very good independent shops. Some make deep dish,,,,,,some thin,,,,,some both. Some parts of the country are not so lucky.

Chicago's got 'em all also...and like choices, everyone has an opinion!  I generally rotate around and enjoy each type separately.

I don't care if it is Neapolitan, Sicilian, thin, thick, tavern style, NY, Chicago, Milwaukee, Gary or was it Cleveland,  round, rectangle,  only that it is good and good comes in many forms. (and that it has onions).

I'm not crazy about pizza.  Never had deep dish and I doubt I would like it.  When I do eat pizza I prefer thin crust with very little topping and baked in a brick oven.

Pizzerole is delicious - with the ingredients, how could it not be?

My only complaint is that it is too filling.  I can remember one memorable piece I had back in the '80's at the now-closed Geppeto's in Georgtown (on M near the Biograph).  Good as it was I couldn't reach for the second piece.

One of the best trends in pizza is the spread of coal (or) wood-fired brick ovens across America.  Now, nearly every metro area (even Phoenix!) has great pizza a Napoli readily available.

                              Now that'z a pizza pie!
