Friday, March 26th, 2010 1025 St. Louis Street (in the French Quarter) 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM The New Orleans Roadfood Festival kicks off with a true Roadfood party featuring the best barbecue from Alabama, Camp Washington Cincinnati chili, cracklin's from Cajun country, all the shrimp and oysters you can eat, an open bar, KJoe's celebrated Creole bread pudding, and pralines made on the spot. The highlight of the party will be presentation of the first annual Roadfood Blue Plate Award to Anthony and Gail Uglesich, who made their longstanding family cafe into a beacon that attracted culinary pilgrims to New Orleans from around the world. It all takes place in a French Quarter setting outsiders rarely get to experience: the historic Boucvalt House, a three-story Greek Revival home built in 1841, now meticulously restored to antebellum grandeur. Tickets will be $75 per person and are very limited in quantity. We look forward to having you join us! |
